Hi, I'm David, the founder and craftsman of Lightner Rustics. I am originally from Montana, where I graduated from college with a degree in Biomedical Science before heading into the U.S. Army, where I served for nearly 10 years. I’m currently in the Army reserves, and for my full time job I work to help Veterans secure permanent, sustainable housing in an effort to end homelessness. My wife and I met while stationed in Texas, and we recently relocated to New England, where we’ve settled into our new home in Southern New Hampshire with our two golden retrievers, Luna and Piper. It was in this new chapter of life that I rediscovered a passion I’ve had since high school—woodworking. I’ve carried those early lessons throughout my life, refining my skills and experimenting with new techniques along the way. Now, I create custom, handcrafted pieces that not only furnish our own home but help others bring their unique style and personality into their living spaces or special events. What once started as a hobby has quickly launched into a passion of building and creating, and Lightner Rustics was born in 2021.
Whether you have a clear idea in mind or need some guidance to get started, I’m here to make it happen. Let's make your vision a reality!
